About the position

The Adult Crisis Counselor position at AMHC involves providing compassionate support and crisis intervention in a fast-paced environment. The role is focused on stabilization and recovery for adults in crisis, requiring a commitment to the core values of integrity, compassion, excellence, service, collaboration, and respect.

Responsibilities

• Offer compassionate support during referrals, admissions, continuing care, and discharge of adults at the Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit.
• Provide respectful, rapid, and effective assessment, support, and hospitalization when necessary.
• Provide service-focused connection to community resources, crisis prevention planning, and case coordination of services collaboratively with clients.
• Complete progress notes, treatment plans, and required documentation with excellence for each individual served.
• Maintain the integrity of AMHC by providing regular and predictable attendance, or being available for unplanned overtime as necessary, to meet program needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule and work evenings and weekends as needed.
• MHRT-CSP certification is required to carry out the assigned responsibilities of the position.

Benefits

• Salary range of $17.67 to $21.20 per hour based on experience.
