About the position

The Advanced Analytics Summer Internship at Blue Shield of California offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the healthcare industry. Interns will engage in impactful projects, participate in a structured curriculum focused on leadership development, and build connections within the organization. This internship is designed to familiarize participants with the company's operations and enhance their understanding of analytics governance and data management.

Responsibilities

• Participate in impactful projects during a 10-week internship program.
• Undertake a 10-week curriculum designed to familiarize interns with BSC and leadership development.
• Collaborate on all aspects of data and advanced analytics products.
• Work with leadership to identify, document, and enhance the team's analytics environment.
• Develop a strategy to bolster the team's analytics capabilities.

Requirements

• Must reside in the state of California for the duration of the internship.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.
• Ability to collaborate in-office 2 times per month, preferably living within a 50-mile radius of a BSC office.
