About the position

The Advanced Application Engineer role at Honeywell involves providing high-level technical support for Hand Held Products, focusing on customer satisfaction and effective troubleshooting. The engineer will work closely with partners and customers in technical roles, addressing complex software and system issues, and developing solutions to enhance product functionality.

Responsibilities

• Provide Senior Tier 3 technical support with a focus on high quality, accuracy, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction.
• Analyze and clarify customer queries through troubleshooting, researching, and recreating of issues.
• Handle all Tier 2 and Tier 3 requests effectively.
• Determine root causes and develop solutions at a code level.
• Collaborate directly with engineering to investigate and reproduce complex issues.
• Develop and test small software fixes and features to meet customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot challenging uncommon and rare problems with a high success rate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Software Development, Telecommunication Networks, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in a technical role; or a Master's degree in the same fields with 2 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience in object-oriented programming, including Java and/or Python.
• Experience troubleshooting software application issues at a code level.
• Understanding of Internet application technologies including HTML, XML, and Java-based application architectures.
• Experience developing and testing small software fixes and features.
• Knowledge of relational database management systems (Microsoft SQL and Oracle) and SQL.
• Familiarity with both client and server operating systems (Windows & Linux).
• Experience with cloud solutions.
