About the position

As an Advanced Application Engineer at Honeywell, you will provide advanced technical support and expertise to customers in Houston, TX. Your role involves understanding customer requirements, designing and implementing solutions, and ensuring successful integration of Honeywell products into their operations. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping customers optimize their processes and achieve their business goals, while working in a hybrid schedule and reporting to the Sr. Application Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with customers to understand their technical requirements and challenges
  • Designing and implementing customized solutions that meet customer needs
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers
  • Conducting product demonstrations and training sessions for customers
  • Building strong relationships with customers and serving as their trusted technical advisor
  • Delivering remote support to premium customers via remote tools
  • Executing Global Technical Assistance Center (GTAC) and other standard audit checklists
  • Facilitating issue identification and analysis, reporting to regional stakeholders
  • Proactively managing and responding to customer questions and issues
  • Maintaining strong case documentation and following up with A360 Performance Managers
  • Supporting A360 Performance Managers to enable remote solutions at customer sites
  • Keeping technically current with the HPS product/systems portfolio

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience in system engineering, operations, or services support functions within the Industrial automation industry
  • 5+ years in Experion PKS (Process Knowledge Systems)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years' experience with Honeywell process control systems
  • Customer facing experience
  • Experience in the industry is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset
  • Good administration skills
  • Deliver premium services for all assigned customers
  • Maintain proactive and timely communications
  • Self-motivated individual
  • Fluent in Spanish is an added advantage
