About the position

The Advanced Chemical Engineer (PRV Engineer) at Honeywell will work within the Engineering projects team, focusing on pressure relief valve (PRV) systems. This role involves collaboration with experienced engineers across various disciplines to support and develop engineering documents for global customers. The engineer will analyze pressure relief scenarios, ensure compliance with specifications, provide technical support, and deliver training to colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support process technology teams by analyzing pressure relief scenarios and reviewing the PRV relief loads for various equipment configurations and systems
  • Identify causes and scenario details for overpressure events
  • Ensure PRV project specifications comply with UOP and industry requirements
  • Provide answers to customer inquiries, clarifications of UOP practices, and evaluation of deviation requests
  • Maintain the PRV infrastructure documents, tools, and coordinate testing of tool updates
  • Provide training classes to other UOP employees and to customers
  • Provide technical support to UOP Services on pressure relief system design issues in new and operating units

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 10 or more years of applicable industry experience
