About the position

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Honeywell within the Smart Energy & Thermal Solutions (SETS) business unit, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that our cloud-based solutions are scalable, secure, and reliable. Your expertise in cloud technologies will be vital in optimizing and protecting critical resources, as well as delivering safe and sustainable combustion and heating solutions. In this position, you will have a significant impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our cloud infrastructure, enabling the delivery of innovative solutions to our customers. You will work alongside various teams across the organization to promote the adoption of cloud technologies and best practices, ensuring the success of our cloud-based initiatives. Your contributions will help shape the future of our cloud services and enhance our operational capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define cloud architecture
  • Ensure the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of our cloud-based systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure design and implementation
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Data Bricks or Google Cloud
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
  • Experience with release engineering processes and orchestration configuration (GH actions)

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced engineering degree in a relevant field
  • Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect)
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of networking and security principles in cloud environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
