About the position

Our DOD Aerospace customer is looking to fill an Advanced Engineering Technician (Secret Clearance) position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will support engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, or specialized test equipment. This position requires a proactive approach to engineering tasks and collaboration with various departments including Engineering and Operations Support. The Advanced Engineering Technician will be responsible for interpreting basic engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics. You will construct, modify, debug, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust a variety of tools, equipment, and systems. Additionally, you will conduct, analyze, and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters, implementing and documenting complex solutions for process improvement. The role also involves designing and constructing basic tooling and fixtures to accomplish unique tasks, as well as organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend resolutions or process improvements. To be considered for this position, you must have an Associate's degree in a related discipline or equivalent, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. A solid knowledge and proficiency in the use of fabrication tools is essential, as well as the ability to fabricate complex hardware. You must also be a US Citizen and possess an active Secret Security Clearance at the time of hire. This position is onsite and operates on a 2nd shift schedule, with a pay rate of $32.64 per hour and a duration of 12 months or longer.

Responsibilities
