About the position

An Advanced Engineering Technician (Secret) - 2nd Shift job in Scottsdale, AZ is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, or specialized test equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to apply them in practical settings. You will work closely with engineers to interpret engineering drawings and schematics, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. The technician will be tasked with constructing, modifying, debugging, troubleshooting, calibrating, testing, and adjusting a variety of tools, equipment, and systems. This includes conducting, analyzing, and documenting statistically based experiments to define process parameters. You will also be responsible for implementing and documenting complex solutions for process improvement, which is critical for maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in engineering projects. Additionally, designing and constructing basic tooling and fixtures to accomplish unique tasks will be part of your responsibilities, requiring creativity and technical skill. To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid knowledge and proficiency in the use of fabrication tools, as well as the ability to fabricate complex hardware. A strong foundation in generally accepted technical theory is essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
