About the position

As an Advanced Field Service Engineer at Honeywell, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to Business General Aviation (BGA) and Airline customers. Your role will involve troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, developing customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution. You will also contribute to organizational knowledge by documenting and sharing insights gained during the support process, ultimately impacting the efficiency and safety of customer operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for assigned BGA and Airline customers regarding Honeywell mechanical and electrical product and system technical issues.
  • Provide direct troubleshooting assistance to customers via phone, email, and on-site visits as necessary.
  • Participate with Business Units to provide input on support requirements for products, systems, and services.
  • Manage and document customer communications using SFDC and ensure case closure.
  • Analyze technical issues and determine corrective action plans.
  • Provide frequent updates on customer issues to leadership and collaborate across internal functions to generate solutions.
  • Attend daily customer meetings and ensure a positive Honeywell image.
  • Report imminent Aircraft on Ground (AOG) and significant issues affecting dispatch to ATS.
  • Build relationships with customers through regular visits and scheduled calls.
  • Support ATS (Hub) by responding to customer cases and providing AOG and on-wing support.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience troubleshooting Avionics and Mechanical systems on business, commercial, and/or military aircraft.
  • 5+ years of customer-facing support experience and/or products.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical fields.
  • Business General Aviation and Airline experience or knowledge.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent.
  • Utilization of Accelerator and tools to streamline work processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, Teams).
  • Experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC), NICE InContact, Team Center.
