About the position
As an Advanced Field Service Engineer at Honeywell, you will provide technical support and expertise in PLC, Conveyor, Packaging, Palletizing, Sortation, ASRS, Automated Storage, and Material Handling. Your role involves troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring successful implementation of solutions, and enhancing customer satisfaction, thereby impacting the efficiency and safety of customer operations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues for customers
- Provide technical support and expertise for Conveyor Systems solutions
- Provide technical support and expertise for Mechanical Systems & Components solutions
- Perform or assist with mechanical and electrical installation or modification to Intelligrated and Legacy equipment
- Troubleshoot and debug all issues including mechanical, electrical, or programming using provided drawings
- Modify, adjust, or develop robotic application code
- Mark-up drawings (Red Line) with updates or changes as required
- Communicate issues, successes, and delays with customers, project managers, team members, and regional management daily
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, and provide recommendations for improvement
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience in field service engineering, focusing on electrical and mechanical solutions or Conveyor systems
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to travel over 100% of the year
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive assessment demonstrating proficiency in Electrical and Mechanical principles and PLC programming
Nice-to-haves
- Associate degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering or mechanical engineering
- 2+ years of leadership and mentoring skills
