About the position

Honeywell International, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Field Service Engineer for our Houston, Texas location. This role is pivotal as it involves serving as the Area Migrations Lead or Branch/Regional Team Lead/Mentor, going beyond just being a site lead or technical lead. The Advanced Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing proactive maintenance support and driving asset optimization for individual customers. This includes DCS Maintenance, which encompasses both Hardware and Software Components, as well as field troubleshooting of common IO and Loop Problems. The engineer will work with voltages up to 110VAC and 40VDC, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues related to Honeywell hardware and software, including the Experion PKS and other DCS hardware/software such as LCN and TPS. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Advanced Field Service Engineer will drive continuous improvement initiatives in processes related to field services and product development. This role requires leading cross-functional groups to address and resolve any administrative difficulties that may arise concerning the delivery and installation of the appropriate equipment. The engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting network connections involving Ethernet and Coaxial Cabling, as well as modifying and editing HMI Graphics. A key aspect of this position is serving as the focal point for Honeywell with the customer, providing technical solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Area Migrations Lead or Branch/Regional Team Lead/Mentor.
  • Provide proactive maintenance support.
  • Drive asset optimization for individual customers.
  • Perform DCS Maintenance including Hardware and Software Components.
  • Field troubleshoot common IO and Loop Problems.
  • Work with voltages up to 110VAC and 40VDC.
  • Configure, maintain, and solve Honeywell hardware and software issues including Experion PKS and other DCS hardware/software such as LCN and TPS.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in field services and product development processes.
  • Lead cross-functional groups to resolve administrative difficulties related to equipment delivery and installation.
  • Troubleshoot Network Connections of Ethernet and Coaxial Cabling.
  • Modify and edit HMI Graphics.
  • Act as the focal point for Honeywell with the customer on providing technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of related engineering experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience developing scope of work documents for multiple projects involving development, installation, integration, site commissioning, and maintenance of Honeywell's Distributed Control Systems.
  • Experience with EPKS (Experion Process Knowledge System), Legacy Total Plant Solution (TPS), and Honeywell Safety Systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting Network Connections of Ethernet and Coaxial Cabling.
