About the position

The Advanced Field Service Engineer at Honeywell is responsible for the implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of Honeywell HPS products at customer locations. This role requires strong interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with customers and provide technical support. The engineer will work closely with the Field Services Manager and other business functions to identify customer needs and deliver solutions, while also leading complex projects and ensuring optimal asset performance.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, administer, and troubleshoot Honeywell HPS products at customer locations.
  • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives.
  • Provide first response technical support.
  • Collaborate with the Field Services Manager and Lifecycle Services to identify customer needs and provide solutions.
  • Act as Area Migrations Lead/Mentor.
  • Responsible for Complex SPOT and Project Scoping & Execution.
  • Plan complex reporting to support incidents.
  • Provide proactive maintenance support and drive asset optimization for customers.
  • Maintain Distributed Control Systems including hardware and software components.
  • Troubleshoot common IO and loop problems and field devices.
  • Add and delete TAGS/Points and modify logic as per standards.
  • Work with voltages up to 110VAC and 40VDC.
  • Configure, maintain, and solve Honeywell hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshoot network connections of Ethernet and coaxial cabling.
  • Modify and edit Human Machine Interface graphics.
  • Act as focal point for Honeywell with the customer on providing technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in software configuration, migration, project engineering, virtualization, and Cyber process control.
  • Experience in developing DCS Logic and Interface software applications compliant with specifications and industry standards.
  • Experience in developing and executing test procedures.
  • Remote support and troubleshooting experience after installation.
