Advanced FPGA Engineer

About the position

The Advanced FPGA Engineer will be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for the design and production of secure, cost-sensitive products. This role involves working from system architecture and requirements allocation through to product release, ensuring that the designs meet the necessary specifications and standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in FPGA design and be able to work independently while also providing guidance to less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop FPGA solutions from system architecture to product release.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met.
• Provide leadership and direction to less experienced engineers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers regarding project status and challenges.
• Stay updated on technology trends and advancements in FPGA design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance.
• Proficient in FPGA design principles and techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog and TCL or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Zync UltraScale+ MPSoC or similar FPGAs.
• Experience with Vivado or similar design tools.
• Knowledge of Multi-Gigabit Transceivers (MGTs) and various bus protocols.
• Experience interfacing with external memory interfaces like DRAM/SRAM.
