You will work under limited supervision alongside some of the world's most talented engineers, playing a pivotal role in bringing innovative solutions from prototype to market. Your responsibilities will include designing, validating, and ensuring the success of complex projects while interacting with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that products meet customer specifications. As an integral member of Honeywell's team, you will refine your skills in a collaborative environment, working with cutting-edge technologies and serving global customers. You will partner with diverse project teams to tackle complex engineering challenges and drive effective solutions. This position offers an opportunity to develop your domain knowledge and contribute to the decision-making process for technical issues, supporting the prioritization of design goals and objectives throughout the development lifecycle. You will also be responsible for establishing and following industry best practices for new and existing designs, ensuring project and product quality and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system level evaluations and debug activities related to enterprise level battery energy storage systems.
  • Work with the larger development team (software, firmware, mechanical) to implement required changes.
  • Plan and execute project subtasks such as designing and testing.
  • Assist in product and process design and review.
  • Guide engineers, technicians, and associates to ensure project and product quality and performance.
  • Consult with vendors and suppliers to ensure product and project quality and performance.
  • Establish and follow industry best practices for new and existing designs.
  • Identify opportunities and propose technical improvements by applying advanced electrical engineering knowledge and principles.
  • Contribute to internal design reviews to ensure adherence to the Honeywell design process and methodology.
  • Suggest enhancements to advance projects.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Analog and Digital electronic design and related fields
  • 7+ years of experience in Power Electronics and/or Power Conversion systems
  • Hands-on experience with Lithium Battery Energy Storage Systems
  • Hands-on experience with power supply design, analysis, and simulation
  • Familiarity with regulatory agency requirements and documentation
  • Hands-on experience with electronics lab test equipment
  • Understanding of technical requirements and documentation
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export control laws and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10+ years of experience in Power Electronics, Lithium Battery Energy Storage and related fields
  • MSEE or related field is a plus
  • Ability to identify design risks and opportunities and address them during critical architecture reviews
  • Capability to complete demanding assignments by applying advanced hardware engineering methods and tools
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions
  • Ability to thrive in a global work environment
  • Ability to follow-through with motivation and persistence
  • Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balance systematic analysis with decisiveness in an ambiguous environment
