The Systems Engineering role is a critical position that focuses on integrating the P20 propulsion system, which includes the engine, nacelle, and thrust reverser, with the airframe. This position is currently in the sustaining phase, managing over 300 engines in the field. The G7500 airframe and engines are also being developed to introduce the G8000, which will enhance capabilities. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead product improvements between GE and Bombardier, acting as a liaison to ensure that GE meets the requirements for new designs in both Part 25 and Part 33 realms. This involves coordinating priorities and worklist items among the supply chain, P20 program, and design teams, as well as leading the resolution of field problems. Additionally, the role requires supporting field service engineers stationed worldwide, particularly at the Bombardier final assembly line and Bombardier finishing center. A deep understanding of key business drivers is essential, as this knowledge will help in accomplishing work effectively. The candidate must also understand how their team's work integrates with other teams and contributes to the overall objectives. The position requires the use of judgment to propose different solutions outside of set parameters, albeit with guidance. The candidate will leverage prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks, utilizing technical skills and analytical thinking to address problems effectively.
