About the position

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Sr. Advanced of Honeywell Aerospace, you will influence the planning and designing of manufacturing engineering processes. You will determine parts and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification, for both existing and new processes/product technologies. You will maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Support daily production activities and drive producibility improvement projects in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide test and manufacturing support for RLG (Ring Laser Gyroscope).
  • Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability and product health trends.
  • Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
  • Help RLG grow its capacity by reducing cycle time, incorporate new capital equipment, and improving yield.
  • Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
  • Assist development of new products.
  • Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
  • Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
  • Test products & software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Aeronautical engineering.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.

  • Knowledge of Automation.

  • Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects.
  • Hands on work ethic. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities and actions.
  • Ability to partner and collaborate well with team members.
  • Quickly and accurately identifying subtle interrelationships and patterns among a variety of problems and issues (process and data correlation of cause/effect across value stream).
  • Conveying information with clarity and directness, ensuring the message is understood across diverse teams.
  • RCCA / Lean / Six Sigma.
