About the position

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at GE Healthcare is responsible for the new repair of Ultrasound Probes within the Repair Operation Center (ROC). This role involves project management and implementation processes for probe repair, requiring a self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. The position emphasizes creativity and dedication to improving manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and approve engineering changes, work instructions, and other documentation as required.
  • Set up new processes through validation and qualification, including risk assessment via PFMEA.
  • Coordinate manufacturing releases and change implementation.
  • Produce tooling and equipment drawings or revise existing drawings using CAD software.
  • Perform 3D design using Creo with Windchill or equivalent, creating models and engineering drawings.
  • Maintain and provide regular upkeep for 3D printers.
  • Drive LEAN manufacturing implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience.
  • Experience in design change and implementation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Six Sigma and CAPA process.
  • Basic understanding of a programming language.
  • Good knowledge of the company's technology, production capabilities, tools, and assembly methods.
  • Skilled user of 3D CAD software, preferably Solidworks or Creo.
  • Demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Understanding of engineering material properties and basic machining operations.
  • Leadership skills for overseeing and coordinating technicians.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Ability to generate clear written communication and lead discussions or presentations.
