About the position
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at MicroPort is responsible for building, testing, and maintaining robotic equipment used in medical device implant surgeries. This role involves supporting the post-sales maintenance of existing robotic systems, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring the calibration of both new and existing equipment. The engineer will also collaborate with various teams to facilitate successful events and training related to robotic applications.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test all robotic components prior to final shipment to customers.
- Calibrate all robotic components.
- Install robotic systems in hospitals.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and service maintenance on existing robotic systems in the field.
- Support the validation of all camera systems used in robotic applications.
- Communicate and respond timely with the Robotics Team and Salesforce to supply necessary tools for sales calls and events.
- Organize and manage equipment and supplies for events and demonstrations.
- Support planning and execution of events and trainings with Professional Education Planners and Managers.
- Lead and assist on-site support staff during installation of robotic equipment.
- Create and maintain standard documentation for assembly procedures.
- Provide training to other manufacturing engineers as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years supporting medical device robotics operations and/or sales.
