About the position

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at our cutting-edge technology firm, you will be at the forefront of harnessing ionizing radiation to advance humanity's well-being. Our mission is to innovate and develop transformative applications in healthcare, energy, and environmental sustainability through the power of radiation technology. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, optimizing, and implementing advanced manufacturing processes related to our innovative radiation technologies. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to translate cutting-edge research into scalable manufacturing solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our manufacturing processes are not only efficient but also adhere to the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for developing and refining manufacturing techniques that leverage our unique radiation technologies, ensuring that they are viable for large-scale production. This will involve conducting thorough analyses of existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance productivity and quality. You will also be tasked with ensuring that all manufacturing practices comply with relevant safety protocols and regulatory requirements, such as those set forth by the FDA and NRC. Your role will require a strong understanding of the technical challenges associated with ionizing radiation applications, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize advanced manufacturing processes for radiation technologies.
  • Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and technicians to translate research into scalable solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in manufacturing engineering, preferably in ionizing radiation applications such as medical devices, nuclear technologies, or industrial radiography.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, NRC).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to innovate in complex technical environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
