About the position

The Advanced Manufacturing Process Engineer at Trane Technologies is responsible for designing and developing manufacturing processes and systems that meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements. This role supports business growth by defining concepts and processes for new products and enhancements, while integrating specialized techniques into a lean manufacturing environment. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to optimize manufacturing operations and ensure effective project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop manufacturing processes and systems to meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Evaluate and implement innovative and cost-effective manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Develop manufacturing planning, tooling requirements, capability requirements, and control plans.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership for resolving manufacturing process and product design issues.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing flows, workstation layouts, and station controls to optimize operations and quality.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to enhance design for manufacturability and integration into manufacturing facilities.
  • Utilize project management skills to estimate time and resources for projects and manage execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • 5-7 years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
  • Experience in HVAC or heavy industrial environments preferred.
  • Integrated manufacturing experience in machining, fabrication, welding, or assembly.
  • Experience with large capital equipment projects.
  • New product launch and project management experience.
  • Knowledge of life cycle cost analysis, dimensional capability analysis, and capacity analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, CAD software, and data analysis.

  • Experience in a safety-sensitive role.
