About the position

The Advanced Manufacturing/Production Operator position in Scottsdale, AZ, is a contract role focused on supporting the development of mission-critical systems for national defense. This role involves working on cutting-edge technologies that aid in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance for various branches of the military, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Special Forces, as well as other federal government agencies. The operator will be integral in creating effective and state-of-the-art technologies that contribute to the safety and security of the nation. In this position, you will be responsible for performing a variety of project tasks and assignments that range from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations. This includes working on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. You will also be involved in fabrication or inspection functions within a research, production, or pre-production environment. This requires reading and interpreting moderately complex schematics and drawings, as well as following advanced methods and techniques for wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on subassemblies and units. Additionally, the role entails building or integrating hardware for prototypes, subassemblies, or systems, and performing moderately complex electrical tests. You will also be responsible for more complex rework and refurbishment of hardware and systems, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Perform project tasks/assignments of moderately complex nature ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
  • Perform fabrication or inspection functions in a research, production or pre-production environment by reading and interpreting moderately complex schematics and drawings.
  • Follow more advanced methods, techniques, and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on subassemblies and units.
  • Build or integrate hardware for prototypes, subassemblies or systems.
  • Perform moderately complex electrical tests along with more complex rework and refurbishment of hardware and systems.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Secret Clearance is required.
  • Ability to perform more advanced loading and configuring of customer/standard software on customer device.
  • Ability to accurately complete process paperwork and entering data into the applicable work order management system.
  • Solid computer, communication and time management skills.
  • Solid knowledge of measuring/test equipment and math.
