About the position

The Advanced Network Integration Engineer position at General Dynamics Mission Systems involves working within a cross-functional team to integrate software components across various operating systems and hardware configurations. This role is crucial for the USW-DSS program, focusing on the integration and testing of distributed, net-centric systems that support the Navy's Undersea Warfare Decision Support System. Responsibilities

• Integrate software components across multiple operating systems (Windows and Linux) and hardware configurations.
• Test distributed, net-centric system-of-systems for the USW-DSS program.
• Collaborate with representatives from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities.
• Utilize advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native, and Quantum Physics to solve customer missions.
• Apply advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques to resolve application, network, or data issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics, or a Master's degree with relevant experience.
• 5+ years of job-related experience, or 3 years with a Master's degree.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance required within a reasonable period of time.
• In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems.
• Experience with Windows and Linux based operating systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code processes and provisioning (i.e., Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with Container/Container Orchestration software (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
