About the position

As an Advanced Network Integration Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will play a crucial role in the integration of software components across various operating systems, including Windows and Linux, as well as hardware configurations that encompass both physical and virtual environments. This position is part of the USW-DSS program, where you will collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes representatives from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities. Your work will focus on the integration and testing of distributed, net-centric system-of-systems, specifically tailored to meet the needs of the Navy's Undersea Warfare Decision Support System (USWDSS) program. In this fast-paced environment, you will have the opportunity to apply advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native, and Quantum Physics to solve complex challenges that contribute to national security. You will be expected to utilize your expertise in troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques to resolve application, network, or data issues, ensuring that the systems operate seamlessly. Responsibilities

  • Integrate software components across multiple operating systems (Windows and Linux) and hardware configurations (physical and virtual).
  • Test distributed, net-centric system-of-systems for the Navy's Undersea Warfare Decision Support System (USWDSS) program.
  • Utilize advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques to resolve application, network, or data issues.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team from various contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities.
  • Apply advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native, and Quantum Physics to solve customer missions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field.
  • 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance, obtainable within a reasonable time based on requirements.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux based operating systems.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code processes and provisioning (i.e. Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience with Container/Container Orchestration software (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes).
  • In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
  • Familiarity with distributed, net-centric system-of-systems integration.
