The Advanced Practice Pharmacy Technician at HonorHealth plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care across various settings, including hospitals, retail pharmacies, and ambulatory infusion clinics. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and it offers a hybrid remote work option. The pharmacy technician will be involved in a wide range of responsibilities, from preparing prescription orders to managing inventory and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities

  • Prepare prescription orders, including sterile and non-sterile preparations.
  • Dispense medications and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Assist in inventory control and purchasing functions.
  • Monitor expiration dates and conduct quality assurance checks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals on medication dosing and quality metrics.
  • Perform medication histories and document them accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Oversee daily activities in the ambulatory infusion clinic, including preparation and delivery of medications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician (LPT) with a current license by the AZ State Board of Pharmacy.
  • 1 year of pharmacy technician experience or completion of a formalized technician training program.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior retail or call center experience preferred.
