About the position
Physicians' Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician-owned and managed practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Lehigh Acres. PPC is growing and we are seeking Advanced Practice Providers (APRN or PA) to join our team. We have opportunities in our Adult Medicine division in locations across Lee County. Our Advanced Practice Providers are responsible for providing primary care services including assessing and managing patients following established standards and practices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the medical care of patients under the supervision of a physician.
- Develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff, and patients.
- Perform duties related to patient care and patient/family education.
- Maintain patient charts, identify health risk factors, prescribe medications, and make referrals as necessary.
- Instruct patient/family regarding medications and treatments.
- Educate patients regarding health and illness prevention.
- Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
Requirements
- A current APRN or PA license in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience.
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
Nice-to-haves
- Two years of APP experience preferred.
