About the position
Ascension St. Vincent is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for our Cardiology department. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. Vincent to provide medical services to patients. The position is part of a well-established Cardiology team, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Coverage is provided 7 days a week. The facility is equipped with an in-house Imaging Suite to perform nuclear stress testing, treadmill testing, and echocardiography 5 days a week. The role involves collaboration with a physician to expand individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating acute or chronic health conditions.
Responsibilities
- Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies.
- Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunization, and patient care.
- Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
- Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
- Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Master's degree of Nursing required.
