About the position

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays a crucial role in the interdisciplinary healthcare team, providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. This position requires collaboration with a supervising physician and adherence to organizational policies and standards. The APP is expected to reflect the organization's mission and values while delivering care within their scope of practice, focusing on patient-centered approaches and continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain relevant health and medical history and perform thorough physical assessments.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing appropriate pharmacological agents.
  • Conduct preventive health screenings based on patient needs and maintain comprehensive records of patient care.
  • Educate clients and families regarding medical conditions, treatments, and follow-ups.
  • Lead and participate in community outreach programs and systems improvements.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement and consult with management on clinical issues.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in the state of North Carolina.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency and effective leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of delivery experience and neonatal nurse practitioner or PA experience.
