About the position
Ascension Medical Group Via Christi is looking for an APRN or Physician Assistant to join our Immediate Care Team in Wichita, Kansas. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Via Christi to provide medical services to patients. The position involves working in a fast-paced Immediate Care setting, with part-time availability to fill in every 2nd or 3rd weekend and the ability to pick up additional shifts as needed. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, performing assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic procedures, providing direct treatment and management of health conditions, and counseling patients and their families on preventative health and treatment options.
Responsibilities
- Join a team of experienced providers in a fast-paced Immediate Care setting.
- Availability to fill in part-time, every 2nd or 3rd weekend with ability to pick up additional shifts as needed.
- Obtain patient history and perform assessments.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures.
- Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
- Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
- Perform preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 1 year of experience preferred.
