About the position

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Medical Oncology at The Ohio State University is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services to patients in collaboration with licensed physicians. This role focuses on preventive health, management of acute and chronic conditions, and patient education, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide healthcare services to patients in collaboration with licensed physicians.
  • Manage acute and chronic phases of illness for patients.
  • Educate and counsel individuals and families on health-related issues.
  • Promote health and prevention strategies among patients.
  • Refer patients to other healthcare providers and community resources as needed.

Requirements

  • Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in the State of Ohio.
  • Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program or PA-C program eligible for certification examination.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA-C.
  • 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
