About the position
The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will join a dedicated team of over 900 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), focusing on delivering compassionate and expert cancer care. This role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive inpatient care, addressing both medical and psychosocial needs of patients, and contributing to innovative research in the field of oncology. The position emphasizes the implementation of evidence-based care standards and patient education initiatives, ensuring quality care throughout the healthcare journey.
Responsibilities
- Consult on hospitalized inpatients and support palliative radiation therapy.
- Address the medical and psychosocial needs of patients.
- Implement and refine standards of exemplary, evidence-based care.
- Contribute to groundbreaking research in cancer treatment.
- Work closely with physicians and the healthcare team to provide comprehensive inpatient care.
- Help implement patient education and clinical support initiatives.
Requirements
- Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations or qualified for licensure.
- Master's degree in nursing with prescriptive privileges (or eligibility).
- 3+ years of related clinical experience.
- Related National NP certification.
