About the position
The Advanced Provider in Emergency Medicine at St. Mary's Hospital plays a vital role in the Emergency Department, contributing to the mission of improving lives and being an integral part of the care team. This position emphasizes collaboration with physicians and other advanced providers in a supportive environment that values team accomplishments and shared goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the training and education of residents in an academic setting.
- Maintain current national certifications and state licensure as required.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation and care management.
Requirements
- Current national certification as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner.
- DEA, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- Current Arizona state license is preferred.
- Experience in an emergency medicine setting is desirable.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in an academic medical environment with residents.
- Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.
