About the position

The Advanced RF Engineer at Honeywell will be responsible for the analysis, design, and measurement of electromagnetic systems in the RF and millimeter wave bands. This role involves leading RF modeling efforts, developing measurement techniques for cryogenic systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create shielding solutions. The position requires a deep understanding of wave propagation and electromagnetic fields, particularly in complex cavities.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF modeling efforts of cryogenic systems using commercial full wave solvers and statistical methods.
• Develop RF measurement techniques for cryogenic systems.
• Work with subject matter experts from cross-functional teams to develop cryogenic shielding solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in electrical engineering or relevant technical discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in electromagnetic analysis and measurement.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree or higher in electrical engineering.
• Experience in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) testing using IEEE Standard 299, MIL-STD 461 and 464.
• Experience with modeling and measurement using reverberation chambers.
• Familiarity with common RF measurement equipment such as VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, signal generator, etc.
• Knowledge of RF absorbing materials at cryogenic temperatures.
• Knowledge of software for electromagnetic simulation tools, e.g., Ansys HFSS, CST Studio Suite, FEKO, COMSOL, etc.
• Knowledge of Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis and instrument control.
• Familiarity with magnetometry, robotics, and cryogenic systems.
