About the position
As a Software Test Engineer at Honeywell Smart Energy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of innovative solutions for the smart energy industry. This position involves rigorous testing and analysis of products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement in testing processes. You will work on developing, deploying, and maintaining electronics manufacturing test systems for Honeywell's Smart Metering products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure product quality and functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot issues and drive resolution.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and tools using SQL Server, C#, Python, and Visual Basic.
- Oversee testing activities at contract manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Deploy and validate test equipment at different contract manufacturers in the USA, Mexico, or India.
- Analyze test results and provide recommendations for product improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- 5+ years of experience in advanced test or software development or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, C#, Python, and Visual Basic.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial automation or a related industry.
- Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and tools.
- Knowledge of Flash JTAG testing methodologies.
- Experience with firmware download and flashing microprocessors.
- Experience with Database & Server management.
- Experience maintaining Computers and Servers.
