About the position

New Roads School is seeking an experienced Advancement Raiser's Edge Database Manager to oversee the Raiser's Edge database in support of the school's fundraising and advancement initiatives. This role is crucial for maintaining donor and constituent information, processing gifts, and generating reports to assist the advancement team in their efforts to engage with the school's community effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring its integrity by regularly maintaining and updating constituent records.
  • Consult with the Director of Advancement on specific needs for translating data into usable reports.
  • Produce data files for mailings related to appeals, solicitation strategies, and board reporting.
  • Update records by attaching proposals or other materials to RE constituent records.
  • Assist with preparation for advancement events by producing segmented mailing and electronic invitation lists.
  • Streamline reporting processes and respond to reporting requests promptly, generating actionable insights.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and document procedures for database use.
  • Work with Admissions Team and Registrar to obtain new and returning student data for import into the database.
  • Produce weekly Annual Fund Status Reports and reconcile with Finance monthly.
  • Receive and process gifts daily, ensuring accurate coding and entry into the database.
  • Send pledge reminders quarterly and manage the online giving page.
  • Process and mail acknowledgment letters and gift receipts twice a week.
  • Monitor for anticipated incoming donations and communicate updates to the advancement team.

Requirements

  • At least three to five years of professional work experience in data management.
  • Proficiency in the management of the Raiser's Edge database is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
  • Ability to perform complex mail merges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with diverse constituencies.
  • Ability to work some nights and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with database management for fundraising initiatives.
  • Familiarity with gift processing and acknowledgment procedures.
