About the position

OhioGuidestone is seeking a part-time Advancement Specialist to join our team in Berea, OH. This role is crucial in supporting our mission as the state's leader in community behavioral health care, serving around 26,000 Ohioans each year. The Advancement Specialist will report to the Advancement Operations Manager and will be responsible for entering, maintaining, and auditing information in the department database, as well as building and maintaining constituent financial and biographical information. This position also involves preparing appropriate lists and reports and maintaining donor and financial files.

Responsibilities

  • Helps build and maintain constituent biographical and financial information in the department's fundraising database.
  • Assist the Advancement Operations Manager with Raiser's Edge reporting, lists, and data entry necessary to the work of the Advancement and Grants team.
  • Assist the Advancement Operations Manager with special data and fundraising projects.
  • Provide administrative support at special events as needed and requested.
  • Assist Advancement Operations Manager with communication related to finance department needs.
  • Participate in monthly Advancement & Grants Team staff meetings.
  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new or shared responsibilities as requested or required.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and present the agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of non-profit fundraising processes, procedures, and CRM software.
  • Two to three years of Raiser's Edge experience and data management preferred.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates in Communications, Marketing, Education or related field; Bachelor's preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and education required.
