About the position

The Advertising Account Executive - Data & Programmatic Sales at Western Union is responsible for driving revenue through data and media sales, focusing on a designated list of accounts. This hybrid role combines elements of both hunting for new business and farming existing relationships, requiring expertise in audience data to support the sales team. The executive will engage with independent media agencies and trading desks, aiming to meet established sales quotas while providing valuable insights to improve offerings and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Meet management-established monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas in data-related deals.
  • Prospect, identify, and create account-level deal opportunities between Western Union and independent agencies, trading desks, networks, demand side platforms, and supply side platforms.
  • Conduct partner meetings and present sales pitches with cohesive, partner-focused audience data and media network opportunities.
  • Provide regular feedback to product, operations & sales leadership from buy side customers to improve offerings and pitches.
  • Collaborate with a broader sales team and occasionally act as a supporting data subject matter expert in meetings.
  • Stay ahead of industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape regarding data offerings and financial media networks to inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare key documents required to complete advertising sales including contracts and negotiations.
  • Maintain data entry into CRM software.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years in media, advertising, data sales.
  • Existing buy-side relationships preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Industry networking, presentation skills, cross-team collaboration, attention to detail.
  • Strong command of spreadsheets, audits, and customer relationship and project management software.
  • Proven track record developing and managing Marketing Media sales collateral, presentations, reports, and partnership plans with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of digital and social platforms as well as their use in marketing.
  • Knowledgeable about AdTech, MarTech, Programmatic media, digital and omni-channel marketing.
