About the position

The position is responsible for selling Simon as a marketing medium to brands, advertising agencies, and local businesses. The primary focus is on achieving individual and mall-specific revenue goals by targeting key companies and categories within the market. The role involves strategic positioning of mall assets, media assets, and programming to create revenue opportunities, while also maintaining effective media relations and executing promotional programs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, create and sell revenue opportunities through strategic positioning of mall assets, media assets, and mall programming.
  • Achieve or exceed personal sales goals and all property-based monthly revenue budgets.
  • Develop and implement retailer intensification strategies.
  • Promote platform program opportunities to retailers and secure retailer offers to enhance programming.
  • Develop and implement programs to establish and maintain favorable community and public relations.
  • Maintain effective media relations by fielding media calls and preparing responses.
  • Create compelling client solutions to advertising objectives and close large advertising, sponsorship, or promotional programs.
  • Target, pitch, and develop relationships with companies in key categories such as auto, health care, entertainment, retail, and education.
  • Ensure flawless execution for all programs on mall including national, regional, and local.
  • Monthly forecasting for properties.
  • Execute leases and collect client receivables.
  • Communicate daily with local property, corporate, and regional leadership teams.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years' experience selling media, advertising, sponsorships, promotions, and events.
  • In-depth knowledge and personal contacts in the advertising, agency, and marketing community.
  • Superior computer skills combined with effective verbal, visual, and written communication skills.
  • Extremely self-motivated, independent, and energetic with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • OOH industry experience and contacts is a plus.
  • Some overnight travel required.
