About the position

The Advertising Account Executive at Comcast is responsible for developing, servicing, and maintaining a client base that purchases advertising space or media services. This role aims to achieve established annual sales goals within the assigned sales team, utilizing zone buying strategies to target specific customer demographics. The position requires moderate guidance and involves collaboration with various internal departments to fulfill client needs and manage account activities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop, and present market research and advertising proposals to support client activities and products.
  • Assist in developing marketing activities to generate local ad sales revenue.
  • Interact with various internal departments to carry out client requirements such as scheduling advertising and monitoring account activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer and prospect records and participate in the development of sales forecasts.
  • Complete required documentation and reporting for the proper processing of contracts, advertising schedules, sales calls, and expense reports.
  • Seek new customers by continuously prospecting following the company's planned sales strategies and tactics.
  • Analyze confidential information and prepare reports, manuals, agendas, and general correspondence.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong customer experience skills
  • Ability to engage new customers and strategic selling
  • Experience in advertising and sales, including cold calling

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with digital tools and experiences
  • Knowledge of market research techniques
  • Familiarity with the Net Promoter System
