About the position

As an Advertising Copywriter at Summit Racing Equipment, you will be responsible for crafting and proofreading advertising and editorial copy for our retail stores, as well as for our print and digital channels. This role encompasses a variety of writing tasks, including but not limited to single-page ads, retail and event signage, corporate communications, technical articles, product descriptions, and other necessary copy. You may also collaborate with team members to produce copy for corporate campaigns and initiatives, ensuring that all content aligns with our brand voice and marketing objectives. In this position, you will write creative and compelling copy for various marketing materials, which may include technical articles, ad copy, feature stories, and both internal and external communications. A critical aspect of your role will be to verify facts and project requirements, working closely with your supervisor or project lead to review, edit, or create new copy as needed. You will maintain consistency of information across all media and understand the importance of adhering to our established voice. Team collaboration is essential, and you will participate in meetings to ensure alignment with campaign goals. You will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating excellent multi-tasking abilities and organizational skills. The ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines is crucial. You will also participate in integrated campaign planning, ensuring that all copy is appropriate for the style of the campaign and follows the Corporate Style Guide as necessary. This position offers a hybrid work schedule after the training period, allowing for flexibility in your work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Write creative and compelling copy for marketing materials including tech articles, ad copy, and feature stories.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of advertising copywriting experience, including subject lines, headlines, calls to action, and product descriptions.
  • Three years of direct marketing experience, including catalogs, flyers, and brochures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience writing to an established voice and adapting style based on medium/audience.
  • Team-oriented approach with a willingness to help and accept help from others.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and make decisions.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Highly detail-oriented with experience in integrated campaign planning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of Adobe In-Copy and Adobe In-Design.
  • Experience with a Digital Asset Management system and digital workflow.

  • Automotive knowledge preferred.
