L.A. Media is seeking an Advertising Media Buyer to join our team in Wayzata, MN. The role involves planning, buying, and maintaining local advertising media schedules across various channels, including traditional broadcast media such as TV, radio, and print. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in media buying, particularly in local TV, and will contribute to the growth of our company while enjoying opportunities for personal development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement media buying strategies across multiple channels including local broadcast TV, Radio, Print, Outdoor, and Digital.
• Negotiate schedule costs with local media.
• Project audience levels and put together media schedules.
• Maintain media schedules and budget worksheets.
• Communicate with clients on plans and buys.
• Prepare detailed post reports on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in media buying, with a strong understanding of local TV buying.
• Strong budgeting skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable prices and terms with media vendors.
• Familiarity with Nielsen audience research.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with a media buying software system is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with Strata and SBMS media buying software.
