About the position

The Category Management Advisor - Drilling & OCTG is responsible for driving commercial value and enhancing Continental Resources' competitive position through effective category management within the Drilling Services and OCTG categories. This role involves partnering with business unit teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies aimed at minimizing costs and maximizing service quality.

Responsibilities

• Establish category strategies and lead strategic sourcing activities.
• Negotiate with key suppliers and execute contracts to enhance competitive position.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to identify business drivers and value-creation opportunities.
• Manage key suppliers and translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Lead market intelligence efforts to anticipate changes in supply market conditions.
• Perform technical and commercial analysis to facilitate decision-making, including spend analysis and RFP evaluation.
• Responsible for supplier relationship management and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
• Understanding of strategic sourcing and category management methodologies.
• Strong proficiency in data analytics and data visualization tools (Excel, Spotfire, Tableau, or similar).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong presentation abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Economics.
• Strong operational, technical, and supply chain experience with drilling services and OCTG spend categories in the upstream Oil & Gas industry.
• Deep understanding of cost drivers and total cost of ownership for drilling services and OCTG categories.
