About the position

The Advisor-IS position within the Treasury Services Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond focuses on consulting with clients to enhance information security solutions and process improvements. This role involves evaluating client needs, advising on best practices, and leading strategic initiatives to ensure robust security measures are in place. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and contributes to long-term discussions on information security solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to evaluate, recommend, design, and implement information security solutions and process improvements.
  • Anticipate client needs and identify security requirements by establishing personal rapport with clients and internal and external resources.
  • Develop and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of supported client areas.
  • Advise clients and leaders on best practices and how to implement process improvements that will address their needs; recommend alternative solutions and perform gap analysis to identify unaddressed needs.
  • Lead strategic guidance initiatives.
  • Be a key contributor in process improvement and long-term information security solution discussions and present outcomes to senior and division management.
  • Direct initiatives and oversee development and integration of new processes; communicate changes to impacted clients, resources, and senior management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 4 years equivalent experience; Master's Degree preferred.
  • CISA (Certified Information Security Auditor), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or other security related certifications preferred.
  • Agile/Scrum/ITIL experience preferred.
  • Experience working in cloud environments preferred.
  • Ability to tailor communications to their appropriate audience and present information in a credible, confident, and influential manner.
