About the position

The Advisor Oracle Business Intelligence Developer position is a full-time role that supports the Acquisition Readiness (AR) Performance Assessment (PA) Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) contract at NSWC Corona. This division is dedicated to organizing its efforts into specialized technical capability areas, which include Warfare Systems Performance Assessment and Acquisition and Readiness Assessment. The Corona Division is committed to providing a disciplined process for measuring and managing material readiness through the use of custom tools, databases, data lakes, data warehouses, and business intelligence interfaces. The goal is to deliver authoritative metrics, trends, and drivers that are essential for effective decision-making. In this role, the Advisor OBI Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing data collection and analysis systems. The position requires a strong familiarity with data visualization software programs and related tools. Candidates with experience in computer programming or an engineering background will find this role particularly advantageous. The work environment is collaborative, involving multiple technical departments that work together to provide objective information and assessment products, as well as defense systems analysis and evaluation expertise. The products developed will serve program offices, defense-related support infrastructure, and operating forces, ensuring that the US Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard have access to critical analysis products. The position also involves quantitative performance assessment, utilizing custom analysis tools to process and visualize data related to combat systems, fleet interoperability, and weapon systems. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of analysis products that inform sponsor decision-makers, thereby playing a crucial role in the operational readiness of defense systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data collection and analysis systems.
  • Utilize data visualization software programs and related tools to present data effectively.
  • Develop custom tools and databases for measuring and managing material readiness.
  • Provide quantitative performance assessments using analysis tools.
  • Collaborate with multiple technical departments to deliver objective information and assessment products.
  • Process and visualize data for combat systems, fleet interoperability, and weapon systems.
  • Create analysis products for sponsor decision-makers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or information systems.
  • Experience with computer programming or an engineering background.
  • Proficiency in SQL, SQL Server, ETL, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS software, systems, and programs.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Python, redSHIFT, Cloud, TSQL, and R language software and systems.
  • Fluency in statistics, datasets, and scripting.
  • Possession of a SECRET clearance, with interim clearances acceptable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with data visualization software programs and related tools.
