About the position

The Merchandising Team Leader (Assistant Manager) plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Team Leader by developing and implementing merchandising strategies that align with AEO brand standards. This position focuses on training and coaching team members to enhance their merchandising skills, ensuring the store is always guest-ready and effectively driving sales through excellent customer service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty.
• Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions that contribute to the store's financial success.
• Coach the team to deliver an outstanding guest experience by maintaining AEO Brand Standards.
• Lead day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment to keep the store in top shape.
• Motivate and inspire the team through AEO's core values and hold them accountable for customer service standards.
• Recruit and hire strong talent to ensure the store is adequately staffed.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback through real-time coaching and prioritize team development plans and performance reviews.
• Execute and innovate daily operational procedures while maintaining visual standards throughout the store.
• Ensure compliance with store safety standards and AEO's policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail management role.
• Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and develop teams with a general understanding of employment law.
• Business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
• Flexible availability to work when guests shop.
