About the position
The Merchandising Team Leader (Assistant Manager) plays a crucial role in developing and implementing the merchandising strategy for the store. This position focuses on training and coaching team members to uphold AEO brand visual standards, ensuring the store is guest-ready through effective replenishment and merchandising execution. The role emphasizes leadership, sales driving, and operational innovation to enhance the overall guest experience and store performance.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty.
- Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions that contribute to the store's financial success.
- Coach the team to deliver an outstanding guest experience by ensuring adherence to AEO Brand Standards.
- Lead day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment to maintain store appearance.
- Motivate and inspire the team through AEO's core values and hold them accountable for customer service standards.
- Recruit and hire strong talent to ensure adequate staffing and provide ongoing training and development.
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback to enhance team performance and engagement.
- Execute and innovate daily operational procedures while maintaining visual standards throughout the store.
- Ensure compliance with store safety standards and AEO's policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a retail management role.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and develop teams with a general understanding of employment law.
- Business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
- Flexible availability to work during peak shopping hours.
