AE - Store Team Leader (Store Manager)

About the position

As the Store Team Leader at American Eagle Outfitters, you will act as the CEO of your store, responsible for maximizing daily operations, driving sales, and developing a high-performing team. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, effective coaching, and strategic decision-making to ensure operational excellence and adherence to AEO Brand Standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by maximizing overall store productivity and building guest loyalty through an exceptional guest experience.
• Create, manage, and own the store's business plan to meet KPI goals.
• Analyze reporting and daily sales trends to make innovative business decisions to achieve financial goals.
• Recruit, hire, and retain a high-performing team, advocating for their development and career progression.
• Champion a culture of teamwork and recognition by establishing goals and celebrating outstanding performance.
• Ensure the store maintains AEO Brand Visual Standards and manage all visual and merchandising processes.
• Evaluate traffic, calendars, and payroll reports to make scheduling adjustments that meet business needs.
• Demonstrate integrity in compensation decisions and ensure compliance with Asset Protection Standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail management role leading functional teams.
• Strong multitasking abilities with attention to detail and effective time management skills.
• Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development and understanding of employment law.
• Effective communication and conflict management skills.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze reporting to drive sales.
• Flexible availability to work when guests shop.
