About the position

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join their team in Chicago, IL. This role focuses on developing analytic and design skills while conducting engineering design under the supervision of experienced engineers. The position involves creating designs, calculations, sketches, and final working drawings, as well as collecting and analyzing data. The engineer will utilize computer software to solve basic engineering problems and ensure work is performed within agreed budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Building analytic and design skills.
• Conducting engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Creating designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Collecting and analyzing data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Using computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or other related engineering field.

Nice-to-haves

• Drafting/CAD applications (MicroStation, AutoCAD, and/or Civil 3D).
