About the position

As a Program Analyst for the Aegis Combat Systems at ManTech International, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) 1F Major Program Manager and Deputy Major Program Manager. Your primary responsibilities will involve developing comprehensive briefs for Senior Naval leadership regarding various fleet readiness issues related to the Aegis combat system. This position requires minimal oversight and guidance, allowing you to take initiative and demonstrate your expertise in the field. You will attend high-level briefings, where you will be responsible for taking detailed notes that will later be used to inform the MPM/DMPM about fleet combat systems issues. Maintaining a schedule of upcoming briefings related to combat systems fleet readiness will also be part of your duties, ensuring that all relevant parties are informed and prepared for discussions. To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in Navy fleet experience, particularly in AEGIS Combat Systems, along with the ability to create effective PowerPoint presentations that communicate complex information clearly and succinctly. Your work will directly contribute to the operational readiness and effectiveness of the Aegis combat systems, making your role vital to the success of the Navy's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) 1F Major Program Manager/Deputy Major Program Manager in developing briefs to Senior Naval leadership on Aegis combat system fleet readiness issues.
  • Attend high-level briefings and take detailed notes for later briefings to the MPM/DMPM on fleet combat systems issues.
  • Maintain a schedule of upcoming combat systems fleet readiness related briefings.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in any general field of study and 5 years of Navy fleet experience in an AEGIS Combat Systems role or ten (10) years of US Navy Fleet AEGIS System experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience leading or supporting a major US Navy program initiative.
  • Advanced skill in creating PowerPoint briefs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a NAVSEA program office or Navy HQ office providing support to senior personnel.
  • Ability to research program information and adapt and re-use relevant information from other briefs.
  • Ability to distill guidance and develop succinct and clear text for presentations.
  • Ability to create embedded graphics, tables and text using Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Ability to adjust fonts and colors to adhere to provided style guides and templates.
  • Ability to receive editorial comments and rapidly make corrections to PowerPoint slides.
