Our work depends on a Ship Integration & Test (SI&T) Network Engineer joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities. As a SI&T Network Engineer supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. The SI&T Network Engineer shall exercise overall responsibility for ensuring the AEGIS Tactical Local Area Network (LAN) is operational and available throughout the integration and test program. Specific responsibilities include reporting to the AWS Engineering Lead and ATO/ATM as needed, providing support for computer program loading, program testing, crew preparations/training, trials, data analysis for trials, equipment and documentation discrepancies, and fault isolation issues. You will also exercise responsibility for the computing equipment suites, setup configurations, equipment interfaces, proper activation and operation of the computing environment, configuration, data extraction requirements and interfaces, identification & resolution of system interface issues, assist with test conduct, analyze test results, support of CAPS and LIMS, and report findings. Additionally, you will review related drawings and documents (including test procedures), report findings and recommendations, provide support for crew preparations & training/trials, data collection, data analysis, and fault isolation assistance as needed. Reporting results of testing, special events, troubleshooting, and lessons learned as required will also be part of your responsibilities. Finally, you will assess system installation and performance and report results in support of upcoming milestones.
