About the position

The AEGIS TECHREP USN/BMD Technical Project Manager at BAE Systems is responsible for leading and managing a team of engineering Baseline Coordinators for the US Navy and Ballistic Missile Defense portfolios. This role involves overseeing technical projects, ensuring effective communication between program leadership and government customers, and managing project execution plans, schedules, and budgets. The successful candidate will provide technical and analytical guidance, assess project issues, and develop resolutions to meet productivity and quality goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct a team of engineering Baseline Coordinators for USN & BMD portfolios.
  • Oversee and manage technical projects and serve as a liaison between program leadership and government customers.
  • Develop project execution plans and identify necessary technical and business resources.
  • Review project status, budgets, and manage schedules and status reports.
  • Assess ongoing baseline efforts and compile weekly SITREPs and monthly reports.
  • Conduct monthly team meetings to ensure customer requirements are being fulfilled.
  • Assist in Technical Data Package (TDP) reviews and submit comments on defects.
  • Coordinate comment consolidation/adjudication meetings with all parties as required for Milestone TDP.
  • Support the BAE Senior Leadership Team in developing project plans and strategic roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Military Veteran
  • Minimum 15 years' experience with DoD/DoN programs, focusing on Navy/AEGIS programs
  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field or equivalent experience
  • Proven people skills with the ability to nurture and mentor junior managers and team members
  • Ability to support a culture of diversity and inclusion
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Proven problem-solving and communication skills
  • Must have a secret level DoD security clearance
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
  • Understanding of the Systems Engineering Development Lifecycle
